Suite a une mise a jour lappli ne fonctionnait plus (crash au moment de louverture) sur mon iphone 4s. Je suis passé a liphone 6 et ça ne marche toujours pas. Néanmoins cette appli est extra en temps normal. Kcco

Comment occuper son temps avec des photos/vidéos bien choisies. Lapplication est plutôt réussie et assez ergonomique.

Chive fix your app it wont let me log on. It kicks me out soon as I open it.

No tracking info or customer service-I think I got scammed.

This used to be a good app but now every post is just a bunch of OF girls with links to their accounts.

The app reviews say otherwise…looks like it got worse. I deleted it a WHILE ago because it was crashing my phone. (Seriously removing “the chive” made my phone run faster) I love the original platform and idea…but apparently, users have spoken. Not just here. Keep up the great work though…honestly!

Big fan of the chive. However when tapping search the app crashes every time. Reinstalled app but did not fix…

The app was awesome but the pop up footer adds stop my music ads from playing.

I still enjoy this app; it has lots of fun stuff in it. But the search feature no longer works. Tap on the search icon and the whole app crashes. Too bad, too. That’s a feature i used to use all the time.

This is a great idea and was a great app. Now scrolling is obnoxious, captions either block the whole photo or completely invisible (toggle your poison), and some of the photos in each gallery are impossible to see without zooming in and out. I will happily change the review when / if there is an update!

While using the app it stops my podcast from playing. My assumption is the overwhelming presence of ads that are screwing it up.

The latest in a long history of problems with this app: It causes podcasts to pause when the stupid ads at the bottom of the screen refresh. Also it is still doing that dumb thing where it opens App Store or Safari when I get too close to touching an ad.

The content is great, but the app is buggy. Sometimes they find the fix…sometimes you go “months” having crash after crash. It’s not worth paying for unless they fix the bugs in a timely manner.

Had the app since 2013 and last year I can’t scroll thru a post without it glitching or taking me to a new post ! Hate it . App has been malfunctioning since last year and is not enjoyable anymore.

I understand the difficulty in trying to stay independent away from Meta and Google … but obviously it is impacting your app. I’m glad you’re still going, although your app support isn’t great. Its January now and the zoom feature is still busted from Octobers update. Try to zoom in and it jumps away from the current post to the next posting (or previous one) do you ever intend to fix this?

Good job on making a completely broken, spam fill app. You can’t listen to music and scroll this app at the same time. Plus every now and then it takes your phone over with advertisements. Lame. This app is slightly worse than your confusing website. Maybe take some resources out of making KCCO shirts and redo your web and app design. Just saying. No one needs 20 million different KCCO shirts. Jeez. I’ve been a fan for years but it’s getting ridiculous. App is pretty much the worst in the store.

An update at some point started pausing music when the app is opened. Most of the time it happens when I scroll past an ad. That sucked but it seemed like a glitch. Now it happens with most ads and sometimes when I first open it. I don't open it much anymore.

This app is great with the exception of the inability to disable sound from advertisements.

Horrible Blasting Commercials super loud and can’t be muted. I just dump the app.

The app is really bad. Ads constantly pausing my Spotify or YouTube while I’m trying to browse is extremely infuriating. It’s just really buggy. The memes are funny enough even though most of the content is stolen compilations from other sites.

The chive app either kills all music from another app or random advertisement music starts playing.

Congratulations Chive! You’ve taken an app which 6-8 years ago was really good and slowly eroded it into a piece of garbage. Each update amazingly makes it worse! Keep phoning it in, if you’re even doing that.

Half decent content. If you try to listen to audio from another app and scroll the chive the audio will consistently cut out because of all the ads on the chive. If you want an app with lots of glitches, this is the app for you.

Why isn’t the animals and hotness on the app versus the website? Seems dumb to have to go the website to look at these versus the app.

The latest update is a step back for the chive app, at least for Apple users. Please fix the zoom & swipe issues the new update created. Thx

I have trouble seeing so I have to zoom often. New update doesn’t allow you to do that. Another app I can’t enjoy using. Edit: they fixed it

Have you fired all your testers again? After the most recent update we can’t zoom in to pictures any more. And even the slightest miss-touch miss the screen takes you away from the current gallery. To top it all we can’t even use the “email support” button because that too is broken.

This app gets worse every time. It must be offshore devs, because nobody ever tests anything.

The latest update is the worst! Zooming in no longer works for us with terrible vision, and a slight mis-touch on a feed takes you to the adjacent one and when you return to the original, you start back at the top. Can’t stand it. Not to mention my login no longer works and I pay monthly for the additional topics (like DAR)

Just read the update information. It says less heating? I do hope y’all mean less heating of the device and not the content! Otherwise keep on Chive ing on!

Either the app crashes or it crashes my ipad

Uninstalled. Every app in existence can load pictures perfectly fine without freezing every second. Except this one.

If you want something that constantly crashes and you have to logon every few minutes while being blasted with ads that come free with the ad-free membership then this app is for you! Just when you thought the App and site cannot get any worse, you’ll hear John say “hold ma beer”. By far one of the worst app I have ever used.

Not gonna go into the plethora of what has gotten worse. Not enough room or time for it. This once was a great app. But somewhere, someone decide they would change it. Go back to the version from 3-4 years ago and fire whoever is updating it. John should absolutely be ashamed of what it has become!!!!!!!!

What happened to this app? It is totally unusable - these old reviews are just propping it up - if it was rated just on reviews from the last year it would be a 1 star app

Recently was logged out of my chive account and lost access to majority of the content. no big deal I forget my passwords all the time. Tried to reset password but am unable to because my username is not recognized. No problem, I’ll create a new one but can’t because my email address is linked to an account. Again no problem, I’ll email chive customer service but the app does not work. All in all the chive has been a great app/community over the past 10 years but this needs to be fixed. The app has proven unhelpful in fixing my problem but as soon as that is fixed I will give 5 stars as everyone should. This app/community is one of a kind. Had the problems fixed multiple times but always comes back. The chive used to be easy but I’m not sure what has happened. Great content, terrible app.

App can be quirky and has issues at times. There are links to contact support but you get absolutely no feed back or assistance when you submit. Content can be a little monotonous as well.

The scrolling lag/freezing is unbearable. Can’t get through a single post before getting frustrated and just closing the app

App hasn’t been stable or without glitches in YEARS now. For example, when viewing a gallery, if you hit the “thumbnail” icon in the top right, you USED to be able to go to that picture (like a couple of years ago), then it would show you the picture exactly 5 back from the one you were trying to select, now after today it’s random, but still not the picture you select. Maybe instead of trying to make millions selling shirts/ coins/ ads, you should go back to perfecting what brought you the success in the first place- your app. The ChiVE preaches anti-corporate greed, but the app and customer experience has been greatly suffering as time goes on and they make more money…

Every new update gets worse. From not being able to login in to advertising even when you are a member.

New ownership. New ideas. Not worth reading or subscribing. I used to look at this site 7 days a week and read 80% of the postings. Now it is less than 10%. Better sites out there. Guarantee that this won’t be posted!

HI…I HAVE THE APP ON MY IPHONE, IPAD MINI AND IPAD PRO. I AM ABLE TO ADJUST SETTINGS ON IPHONE AND IPAD MINI TO SEE HOTNESS, BUT IF I TRY TO GO INTO SETTINGS ON IPAD PRO, THE APP WILL CRASH, SO I AM NEVER ABLE TO ADJUST THE SETTINGS THERE. NOT SURE WHY IT WOULD BE DIFFERENT ON AN IPAD PRO AS OPPOSED TO IPAD MINI. CAN YOU HELP?

Years ago I paid for a lifetime membership through one of the deals that was going on. It was great, No Ads and 15% of at the Chivery. All seemed great u til one day I got back on the app to waste some time and the ads were back. So I emailed support, and emailed, and emailed, and emailed, and emailed, etc and no reply. Not an explanation, nothing. I suppose it’s because I paid one time forever and they no longer get my money every month. Well after StumblingUpon the Chive and Mind the Gap Mondays back in college in 2007, I just might have to move on as it seems that profits and play are the goals and not customer satisfaction. Hope you’re having fun over there y’all.

The app is a total mix of garbage now. All the things that made Chive what it was is now gone. Moving on!

Why is it so slow and buggy? I uninstalled and reinstalled. Bought lots of merch years ago and thought I would try the app again but good lord it’s basically unusable on a new phone

Locks up or moves extremely slow between selections. Would love for an admin to use an iPhone Pro in testing. Bugs for years! Deleting app once again…
