This app was awesome, I love the content from The Chive. Now theyve let moneymaking ruin the app, full of spam ads, and ads the redirect to the App Store for some stupid game. Its one thing to use ads, I get it, but at least make them for useful products, not spam and garbage.

I was on chive every day until about 6 months ago the app stopped working. The latest version still didnt work until I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it!!! So happy its finally working I feel whole again, I have my daily chive back !! Time to catch up...

Ive used this app for years on many iPhones . Now on iPhone 7 , every single gallery gets a "congratulations! click here for your free spin at a chance of $499000000 blah blah blah" The app is plagued with ransomwear pop ups Fix this broken infected app NOW!!!!!!!!

Love the content but the pop ups and adverts are killing it.

I thought that the chive would be better than forced ads while looking at posts. I feel like you guys dont want me using the app anymore. Please remove the forced pop up ads every 3.4 minutes. Please?

The app almost never opens or works. It has had this problem for quite a while and they dont really seem to be fixing it. When it works it is a great app but it does not work that often. Really wish they would fix this.

2 stars for content. -2 for the serious ad problem. -1 for lack of clear cache. App takes up over 1.5gb!!!

Best website/forum/app in the world pure entertainment

I fear this once legendary site has begun run its course. Its quickly been going down hill. The posted content, though still entertaining to some degree, has degraded to lesser value. But the true reason for this poor review is simply that the recent updates of the app do not work well. The app crashes more frequently than it runs, and Im not sure why, but it continues to require more and more storage on my phone. At one point it took up 2GB of space. I was forced to delete the app and reinstall it to get it back down to the original 20MB. It pains me to say that an app that has for so long been a staple to my daily routine of wasting time, will soon not even be considered worthy enough to stay on my phone as an app that I dont use, but cant quite justify deleting.

I have really started to grow tired of all the pop up ads that keep appearing. I can barely get through a post without seeing 3. I recommend just using the online version.

Used to be my favourite but now the adds and pop ups are so spammed I cant go through a gallery without being kicked out!

Easygoing app .

Had the app for years, yet it seems with each update there are more problems. All the pop up and redirecting ads are ridiculous. Pretty sure Im just going to give up on it. Too bad started out as "probably the best app ever" now just another ad campaign.

Hey Chive, maybe you should review the ads in your app because they are now throwing up dialog boxes on iPhones. I get that you need to make money but you are driving users away with these nonsense pop up and App Store opening ads
